I don't want to disable it in the BIOS, because if the BIOS gets damaged I need it for booting. I saw that article here before, but now I can't find it anywhere on either the new or old forum no matter how I search. Please, experts and friends, help me out. Thanks.

I really can't find the specific method or that article! Is there really nobody who can help me? I have to reboot and power on and off often. Every single time it beeps, every single time it checks the floppy drive.

Disabling it in the BIOS is simple, and turning it back on is simple too... Is this really necessary?

Expert, it's like this: I need the floppy drive before the hard disk boots, because I often make changes involving BIOS operations, and the automatic BIOS recovery on the floppy disk is needed. Please tell me a method!

I can't disable it in the BIOS, I need it to recover the BIOS when the screen stays black.

For example: if I fail a BIOS upgrade, how do I restore it? Press DEL at startup, enter BIOS, and set floppy boot? Then just flash it back and that's it??????

Geez,,,,,, if the BIOS is damaged,,,,,, all the previous settings are gone,,,,,, the two things don't match up at all,,,,,,,,,, restoring the BIOS from a black screen with a floppy relies on the boot module built into the BIOS,,,,,, if you don't even understand this,,,,, then I don't recommend upgrading the BIOS,,,,, it's risky and useless,,,,,, at least I've never upgraded mine up to now,,,,, don't be angry,,,, just a little advice

I'm really dizzy too—if the BIOS is damaged, as long as the boot module built into the BIOS isn't damaged,
when the machine starts it will automatically look for the floppy drive.

Mm, thanks to both of you for the help. Precisely because I don't understand it, I wanted to think a bit more about a fallback plan. I already flashed it successfully before; I just wanted to change the boot logo in the BIOS file again. Forget it, I'll just make do with it. I'll learn more before changing it again.
Thanks again to both of you for the help!

Looks like the A drive can only be plugged in when needed. What else can I do? The only option is not to let it get power.
