Recently, I am localizing all applications and related drivers in MSDOS7.1. The first compressed package is almost localized, and a total of more than 50 programs have been localized. My localization principles are:
1. Some programs in MSDOS7.10 are large in size but have average functions. Other DOS system programs (such as FREE DOS and never use programs in DOS 8.0 to avoid version errors) are used. It's not that everything from Microsoft is good;
2. Try to select programs with small size or can be shelled with UPX without losing functions and with powerful functions, and absorb excellent programs from different DOS systems. Ensure faster and more accurate execution efficiency.
3. Use dictionaries (such as Tianhui automatic translation lexicon, MS DOS Chinese help manual, DOS master, plus two computer English-Chinese dictionaries) and my almost 4-level dumb English level to ensure accurate translation during localization. At the same time, it also helps me learn computer English and do some practical things. Can localization also learn English?
4. Localization is as thorough as possible (some important marks such as MS Run-Time lib.. Microsoft Real-Time Studio... cannot be localized of course).
5. Programs that have been localized by others are not localized again (such as diskedit.exe, etc.), unless there are revised versions or higher versions (such as CTMOUSE.EXE) then localize.

I provide a suggestion. There is a program NDD.EXE, which is in Shen Jie's fully Chinese boot disk. It needs to be supported by a Chinese character system to display Chinese. I also saw a same NDD.EXE program, which does not need any Chinese character system support, and directly takes the character patterns from font16.fnt (equivalent to the character pattern file HZK16 in this book). If this same skill can be used in the boot of IO.SYS and CONFIG.SYS, that would be great.

The problem with the DOSLFN F version is that if the DOSLFN F version is already running, entering "DOSLFN" again in the command line and pressing Enter does not prompt that DOSLFN is already running or installed, but causes a system crash (this bug exists in the original English version, definitely not caused by the Chinese localization). However, there is no such problem with the DOSLFN A version and the O version you localized. But when the F version is loaded at startup, I don't think anyone would casually enter "DOSLFN" again in the command line and press Enter, so it will not affect the use. The test environment is VPC 5.2 Lite Edition.

Correction:
I have re-downloaded the English version of DOSLFN F version. This afternoon, Wei Chuang happened to have a holiday. I spent nearly 3 hours re-localizing the DOSLFN F version and carefully checked the localization process. I also corrected the phenomenon of incomplete localization such as "on, off (on, off)" when using the DOSLFN /s parameter. Now this corrected localized version of DOSLFN F version has no original crash phenomenon when tested in my VPC 5.2 streamlined version. I have sent this corrected localized version to the administrator Yulu, and I need her to help upload it. Please do not use the original localized version of DOSLFN F version with bugs.
