My bootable disk has been around for two years (on and off). My friends are still using my version 3.00 (which I wrote when I was in college), and they all say it's already very good, but I still think it's not perfect enough. Recently, I'm developing version 4.5, which includes basic functions of DOS 7.1 and extensible plugins completely written with batch scripts, such as authentication, network support, system installation, making simple bootable disks, etc. And I've written detailed instructions for it. This will also be the last version of the bootable disk I write. The development of 4.5 is approaching the end. I believe testing is the most arduous part. I won't release a bootable disk with any errors. When I finish it, I'll provide the download using China Netcom's server. I think a good bootable disk mainly depends on the completeness of its basic functions, the management and compatibility of batch files, and having powerful extension functions (without changing the original basic functions), rather than just adding various miscellaneous functions and half-baked software. After all, having a good foundation is the only way to expand into powerful functions.
