The software SPFDISK can activate a logical drive so that the logical partition can become a boot partition, but MS-DOS 7.1 can only boot from a primary partition. Is it possible to make MS-DOS 7.1 boot from a logical drive as well by modifying IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS?

Use GRUB for DOS to do it. SPFDISK cannot make DOS boot from a logical partition.
