I started learning DOS yesterday, so I came here, but there's a basic question I don't really understand!
What's the difference between a boot disk, an installation disk, a system disk, and so on? What are their respective uses, and how do you make them? Please, brothers and sisters, teach me! |

A boot disk refers to the location of your boot files, usually drive C.
An installation disk refers to the location of your software installation files, usually a CD. A system disk refers to the disk where your operating system is located. For DOS, it's usually drive C, while for Windows 2000/XP it can be on C, D, and so on. |
