Do they have to be loaded in config.sys? How exactly should it be written? Please give an example. Thanks!

My batch file is the same as yours (the sound card settings part). I boot the system with a Win98 boot disk, add the sound card settings part to the batch file on drive A:, and boot the system. playmp3 can detect it, but there's no sound. With playmp3 /c6 it can play one line, then it just keeps repeating that same line. But when I use qv to play mp3, it says it can't find it. I'm wondering if I should add something in config.sys. I hope kinglion can give me some pointers; I'd be extremely grateful!
