Moderator, I've seen you say many times that installing MS-DOS 7.1 can directly enable multi-boot, but if I want to use FreeDOS BETA9, how can I make it multi-boot with systems like windows98 and WINXP?
Thanks!

FreeDOS can of course do it too, but since the FreeDOS installer itself does not have the function of adding it to the WinXP system boot menu, you need to do it manually, that is, by saving and calling the FreeDOS boot sector. So it's a bit more troublesome. Also note that unlike MS-DOS 7.10, Win98 cannot be started from FreeDOS.

Moderator, could you explain how to make it multi-boot with windows? If freedos is installed in c:\fdos and win98 is on c:, can they be multi-booted? Also, could you talk a bit about how to install various hardware in freedos? I'm just starting to learn, so I hope you can explain it as simply as possible. Thanks!

On many of the machines in the school computer room, pressing F8 at startup doesn't enter DOS but goes straight into windows98 instead. What's going on?
