I want to make a Super MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk. So I downloaded Wengier's Super MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk. I wanted to extract it and then COPY it to a floppy disk, but formatting a new floppy only gives 1.38MB. It can't fit the Super MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk's MSDOS710.IMG. What should I do???

You can use software called: Alkonost MaxFormat to format your floppy disk to a capacity of 1.72M or 1.55M, then you won't have to worry anymore about not being able to fit files larger than 1.38 or 1.44Mb. http://www.freedomcn.com

It's normal for your floppy disk to be 1.38, it would be abnormal if it weren't. You can use some software to process the floppy disk, but let me tell you, don't get too greedy, because the more free space left after compressing a floppy disk, the slower the read speed. And it also does a lot of damage to the floppy drive, so you'd better also buy a really sturdy floppy disk~

Actually I've never really felt that confident about floppy disks, they've caused me a lot of misery several times! I'm using a USB flash drive now, but can a USB flash drive boot DOS??

My floppy disks used to go bad often too, but later I put moisture-proof pellets inside the floppy disk box. That way the floppy disks weren't so likely to go bad..
