My machine is Win2000, and every time it starts up the floppy drive runs once. I think it's a settings issue, right? Is it self-test?
Would it be better to set it to boot the system from the hard disk? In First Boot Device I saw some options, among them “HDD-0, HDD-1, HDD-2...”. What do they mean? If I want to set it to boot from the hard disk, which one should I choose?

My
Advanced Boot Features:

First Boot Device

Second Boot Device

Tird Boot Device

Boot Other Device

Swap Floppy Drive

Boot Up Floppy Seek
Thanks for the advice!

Let me answer this question. You just need to set Tird Boot Device to ~

That probably isn't the issue -- if it's already booting from the hard disk, why would it still check the floppy drive?

I disabled the floppy drive in BIOS, and after that the detection never appeared again, whether at boot or when entering the system...

That's the wrong answer. Didn't you look at what the English says, the third item being checked? Hehe, now you get it, right~

Change everything after the second one to
Change First Boot Device to , and it'll be faster,
just change it back only when you need to boot from the CD-ROM!! That way it's fast and convenient,
and it also won't check the CD-ROM every time you boot, which wastes time and wears out the CD-ROM!!!

I tried for a long time, and still didn't find that the computer was checking the floppy drive

My settings:
1. Hard disk
2. Floopy
3. None
Other: Enabled
Seek: Disabled

...
I don't know if my bios is somewhat special? I'm using Lenovo Award v1.9

No, you misunderstood what the OP meant.
It means Third Boot Device should be Disabed

Just change CDROM to HDD-0 in First Boot Device and the problem will be solved!
