Brother Wengier, I have a question about using DEBUG to modify ANSI
I want to use the DEBUG command to call the ANSI.SYS file and modify one byte at offset address 0215H, so that the traditional white-on-black display becomes some other color
How exactly do I use the E command to modify address 0215H, what is the format, then use the W command to write it to disk, and the Q command to quit
Please give the correct syntax

Re A Hai:

Strange, do you have to use debug? All kinds of hex editors can fully handle this.

If you really have to use it, then do it like this:

debug ansi.sys
e 0315
w
q

Note: with one e command, you can put the hex value you need after it, or you can leave it out and it will prompt you to enter it below. As for why the address is 0315, it's because debug loads non-executable files starting from offset 0100H of the current segment by default.

I want to change one byte at 0215H, changing 07H to 02H. How should I do it?
Also, what hex editors are there? Could you give me a hint?

Or could someone find which byte the 07H is in within the ANSI.SYS file of version 7.1
Because in version 330 the 07H is at byte 0215, and in version 441 it is at byte 0378H
Thanks, everyone

Everyone, please help? Hurry up and answer this? I'm asking for the offset address in the DOS 7.1 version of ANSI.SYS!
Brother Wengier, you haven't had time for a long while to answer this little sister's question?
