This is my first time using RAR32, and I'm not very used to it yet. Please help me.
The format I used with RAR32 to add a *.RAR file was rar32 a e:\dos Why does it keep compressing the files in the directory where RAR32.EXE is located instead? What I originally wanted was to compress the files under E:\DOS My format is wrong, so I'd also like to ask everyone to point out the correct one Urgent |

Re 月下暇想曲:
The command-line usage of compression software is generally: command subcommand target archive So according to the usage you gave above, e:\dos is being treated as the target archive name, and since the source files to compress are omitted, it defaults to all files under the current path. In other words, it compresses all files under the current path into e:\dos.rar. So of course the proper usage would be: rar32 a dos e:\dos\*.* |

I tried it. The method you mentioned compresses the files under the directory, but if there are subdirectories under it, then the files in those subdirectories won't be added. So what should I do? Please advise.

Re 月下暇想曲:
Including subdirectories in compression software is generally controlled by options or parameters. And the options or parameters used by different compression software are not all the same. You can directly enter rar32 to view its online help documentation; after finding the corresponding parameter, just put it in the position I pointed out above. means this item is optional, and is not part of the option or parameter itself, so you do not need to type it. |
