What backup do you use? If it's using Ghost, enter Ghost under DOS then select Local---Partition---From Image and press Enter, press Enter (for a single hard drive), scroll down to select 4 and press Enter, select the filename of your backup and then OK, then select the hard drive and partition you want to restore and press Enter, problem solved!

Please download the Chinese version of the Super Emergency Disk I made. It has a Chinese wizard for formatting and installing WIN98, which is very suitable for beginners.

Try using NDD for detection or the partition repair function of DISKGEN.
