Today I felt like trying XMSDSK under FreeDOS, but no matter what I do I can't get it to work.
I get errors, something like move error, and at most I can only create one virtual drive letter but can't actually operate it. For example dir /mk ............... dizzy here |

Which version of the FreeDOS Kernel are you using? If it's an old version of the FreeDOS Kernel, then it has some compatibility problems with XMSDSK.

The following is quoted from tailang's post on 2003-12-4 0:12:27: That won't do, try the latest FreeDOS Kernel 2032+ |

I use FreeDOS Beta9, and XMSDSK can pass, but EMM386.exe can't be loaded, which causes insufficient memory when booting the network.
