Hello, moderator:
I’m using ROM-DOS710. I only want Chinese long filenames to be displayed at startup.
But whether I add the DOSLFN from MS-DOS710 or Shen Jie’s Chinese-localized version, startup is normal, but it just won’t display Chinese long filenames. The best result I got was something like ________~1. I’m out of ideas, please help me.
Thanks

If it really won’t work, then just use MS-DOS 7.1. After all, compatibility is better.

Hello, it’s not that I don’t want to use the MS-DOS you made, it’s just that the versions I downloaded all ask me to insert the second disk at startup, and I don’t have it.

Insert the 2nd disk?? What 2nd disk? That can’t be, can it? Are you talking about the MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk or the full installation edition?

Hello, I’m using MSDOS710, but I don’t know whether it’s the one you made. I downloaded it online, but it keeps asking me for the second disk. Do you have a good usable one there? Please recommend one and help me out. Thanks

Sheesh, how can you not even tell the difference between a DOS boot disk and an installation disk? For example, the following are all MS-DOS 7.10 boot disks:

http://newdos.yginfo.net/dosware/msdos71b.zip (standard MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk)
http://newdos.yginfo.net/dosware/mdos71bd.zip (super MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk)
