Why do you want to assign it the drive letter Z? It will assign a drive letter automatically.

I usually assign the virtual drive as X:
and the CD-ROM drive as R: No matter what DOS CD-ROM driver, it should be the same, right? mscdex add parameter L, for example msxdec /D:abcde /L:R shsucdx add ",drive letter" after the D parameter, for example shsucdex /D:abcde,R l |
