The USB hard drive is a Seagate IV 40G in a Mobile Star USB2.0 hard drive enclosure, divided into 3 partitions. In DUSE's pop-up message box, I can see that the first partition has been recognized. When it returns to the DOS prompt, the cursor is blinking, but the system has hung. I don't know why, please advise!!!

Which version of DUSE are you using? 4.4? 4.9?

The OP ran into the same thing as me!! It says it detected a USB device, then it hangs!! Experts, save me!!

I had no problem using DUSE 4.9 under VMware 4.0, but when using a Win98 boot disk my problem was the same as yours

Disable the USB2.0 contoller in CMOS, then try again.
