How do I copy a complete folder to another location under DOS (including hidden folders and files)? Please have an expert write out the steps. After copying, how do I verify the integrity of the copy? Using DOS commands only!

Just use XCOPY. For example, if you want to install WINXP or 2000 from the hard drive, copy the I386 folder from CD-ROM G: to hard drive D:
d:
md i386
cd i386
xcopy g:\i386\*.* /s
After the copy is finished, you can use the WINNT command to install from the hard drive.
/S means to copy subdirectories as well
