How do I assign a hotkey to a batch file in Win98?
I just created a batch file on the desktop and set a hotkey for it, but the hotkey simply doesn't work, depressing. Also, after running a batch file in Win98, how can I make the batch file window close automatically? I added "exit" as the last line of the batch file, but it didn't work. I just started learning DOS, so this question is really newbie-level. Please give me some advice, experts! |

The hotkey set for a batch file on the desktop only works on the desktop, that is, only when no other window is open.
As for closing automatically, that's also a settings issue. Try it yourself, I'm using Win2000. |

I've got the auto-close part working.
But there's still a problem with the shortcut: Win2000 works, but WinME just won't, depressing. |
