I was surfing the web at an internet cafe, and I accidentally clicked this file, Install. The screen immediately went black, and I had to restart. I guess this might be some kind of file from DOS? Could you guys tell me what kind of file this is? Why does clicking it make the screen go black? Thanks.

There are several possibilities. It could be that this Install.exe file can only run under DOS. If you ran it in Windows, it would immediately switch to MS-DOS mode, so a black screen would be normal, but pressing Alt+Tab should let you switch back out. It could also be a trojan causing the black screen, or this Install file could have errored out and crashed the system, which could also lead to a black screen or a blue screen and so on.

It should be a batch file You'd have to look at the contents of the batch file
