Recently I ran into this problem, and I hope some expert can help me:

I originally had 98 and 2000 installed, and now I want to install UCDOS 7.0, on drive C, but someone told me UCDOS
only supports FAT16 format, while my C drive is FAT32, and the C drive space is larger than 2 GB. What should I do to install it??
Thanks

If you want to use all the functions of UCDOS, this suggestion may be of no use to you.

The suggestion is to use a version called UCDOS98. It runs fine on my machine. And there is no C drive limitation either.

Yes, I want to use all the functions of UCDOS,
I want to use the FOXPR02.5 database under UCDOS. Do I need to repartition, format drive C as FAT16,
with space less than 2 GB?
And then install it?

Who said UCDOS only supports FAT16 format smaller than 2 GB??? Sheesh! There is no such thing at all.

Then how can it be done properly?

This is what I have in mind: first I repartition C and split out another partition, a smaller one (about 400), for DOS,
then install UCDOS on DOS, then put FOXPRO2.5 on drive C, and then make a startup file for my database,
SBALL。BAT
Can this plan work?

Absolutely.

There is absolutely no need to repartition. I have been running UCDOS normally on a FAT32 partition of about 30 GB for a long time. Definitely do not believe completely wrong claims (for example absurd statements like “UCDOS can only run on hard disks smaller than 2 GB”).
