Dear all, I have a notebook computer, which is the New Blue G6000 model, without a CD-ROM or floppy drive, with a USB2.0 interface, and supports USB floppy drive boot. I once used the built-in optical engraving combined with an external USB2.0 hard disk as an external CD-ROM to install WINXP, which could be installed normally. However, after formatting the hard disk and using the above CD-ROM to install WIN2000, after the file copying is completed, it restarts and a blue screen appears, showing a hardware error. Then, when using the EKE external CD-ROM to install WIN2000, it cannot be directly booted from the CD, and when booted from the external floppy drive, it often cannot find the CD-ROM. I have also used the method of copying the I386 files under WIN2000 to the hard disk and then restarting to DOS for installation, but it also has a blue screen after copying the installation files. Please tell me how to solve the above problems, thank you for your advice. The notebook configuration is P4-M2.2G, 256M DDR, 40G hard disk, SIS650 chipset, integrated graphics card, network card, modem, and with a GPRS module.

Copy Win2000 to the hard drive, then boot from a USB floppy drive | CD-ROM to install.

Just install an external CD drive and it's done.

What format did you use to format your hard drive? Is it because the version you're using only supports the NTFS format? That's probably the cause.

Your WIN2000 installation file is incorrect and is corrupted

Maybe it's a hardware issue

I also encountered the situation where after the file copying was completed when installing WIN2000, it failed to enter WIN2000 after restarting. Then I bought a better - quality CD and reinstalled WIN2000, and it was fine. You can also give it a try!
