I'm playing it under msdos7.1. Why are the numbers garbled after entering the game? Also, the spaces in the menu at the very beginning are garbled too, so I can't play it.

Could it be that some drivers weren't loaded? For example, some settings in CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT?

Uncharted Waters 2 generally rarely has garbled-text problems!
Are you playing it under pure DOS? Actually you don't have to. It can also be played under 98, and usually you can get music too. I recommend playing it under XP. Download a program called VMDSOUD, and then you can get sound under XP. As for the garbled text, just use IE5.5 or 6.0 and fully install the BIG5 support package. (But this game doesn't seem to need any Chinese support package.) |

Under XP it's still garbled. It's only a bit better with dosbox. Could it be that I downloaded the wrong game? Can you give me a good link?
