How do I install a DOS system on Virtual PC?? - China DOS Union Forum

I installed the DOS 7.1 downloaded from this forum, using Connectix Virtual PC version 5.2. The process was as follows. Please, experts, tell me where I went wrong and what I should do?
First I created a new PC named DOS, with all settings left at default.
Then when I started the PC, it prompted:

OS not found
Install an OS on this hard drive

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device

Then I loaded the downloaded image file DOS71_1.img into the floppy drive and rebooted.
DOS 7.1 installation started. I just kept pressing Enter all the way through, except I didn't select ADD-ONS.
Then it prompted me to insert the second disk. I loaded the downloaded image file DOS71_2.img. Then Continue
Again I just kept pressing Enter all the way through. Then it asked to reboot. I released the floppy image. Reboot...
Then the following words appeared...

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device

I don't know what the reason is.

OK, I know now. Compatibility has now been improved for certain special cases in the VPC environment. Please download the MS-DOS 7.10 installation edition again and try reinstalling it.
