I have a laptop with 4MB RAM / DX-100 / 540M. Can WIN95 be installed? Also, does any expert know what brand of laptop elite is.

When win95 had just come out, I installed it on a Compaq Prolinea 466 (486 66MHz) with 4MB of RAM, and it definitely worked.

Yes! Win95 can be installed on a machine with more than 2.8MB of RAM, but note that the parameters of the memory management program may need to be set manually. Also, don't use the OSR2 version (Pwin97), that absolutely won't install.

With 4MB of RAM, the English Win95 can be installed, and it runs better than the Chinese edition.

On a 4MB machine I installed WIN32 and it ran okay. I don't have an English WIN95. I tried PWIN97 and it was insanely slow. After installing the graphics card, it wouldn't boot anymore.

Yes. The minimum requirements for WIN95 are a 386SX33 and 4MB of RAM, but this really tests your patience, and you should also be prepared at any time for hard disk damage.
