The CMOS losing power only causes the CMOS storage information to be lost. As long as the BIOS searches for the hard disk by itself, it can boot the system on the hard disk. If you see the display information, it indicates that the BIOS is not damaged.

I haven't heard of batteries that can't be removed. Is your computer a 286? If that's the case, I don't know because I haven't used a 286, heh. Replace the battery. Without the CMOS configuration table, the BIOS doesn't know where to boot from.

Generally, when the motherboard has no power, it can still start, but the CMOS parameters need to be reset. The hard drive can also be booted without using BIOS but with software, but an old - style graphics card is needed, which is neither PCI nor AGP.
