I downloaded Motto Hairu from New DOS Era, and wanted to use it so I could use my 16MB ONLYDISK under MS-DOS, but after loading the following in CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=C:\DOS\USBASPI.SYS DEVICE=C:\DOS\DI1000DD.SYS it showed: DIVIDE OVERFLOW and then hung. I couldn't even do a warm reboot, so I had to press the RESET button on the machine. So I kept looking online, and finally managed to find drivers that support USB flash drives. Sorry, I forgot the download URL. I only remember that the archive contained a lot of drivers for USB devices, but I only used two of them: APSIDISK.SYS, USBAPSI2.SYS, loaded like this: DEVICE=C:\DOS\USBAPSI2.SYS DEVICE=C:\DOS\APSIDISK.SYS This way they loaded successfully. After rebooting, the system reported that it had found a new logical drive. After testing it, I found everything worked normally. I also want to thank New DOS Era here for helping me regain confidence in DOS. |

Looks like different flash drives need different drivers.

That download address should be the "USB driver collection" on the "Drivers" page of the "New DOS Era" website, right? ASPIDISK.SYS and DI1000DD.SYS are both drivers for SCSI hard disks, but each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
