I was under 98~ and created~ a boot disk~. When I insert it~ in my own~ computer, it can enter~ DOS, but~ when I insert it in two friends' computers~~ it has no effect~~ and just~ goes straight~ to the desktop~ (one of them uses XP, the other uses 98, and I myself use XP). Can~ you~ tell me the reason and the solution? Also, doesn't XP~ not have DOS~? How did I get into it then? I don't understand very well~~ Please, experts~ teach me, thanks~ a lot~

There are settings in CMOS. Your computer can boot from floppy, while their computers boot from the hard disk first, so they need to be configured.
