I have an IBM laptop that I've used for three years. Now the CD-ROM drive is gone, and the floppy drive is also gone. My current system is WINDOWSXP, and now I want to install WINDOWSME. So how do I switch to DOS?

Download and install WINDOWS ME from the internet.

First download DISK1.DISK2 from this site's DOS7.10 installer, extract them and put them under C:\DOS710\ Then edit C:\BOOT.INI timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /nodetect c:\bootsect.dos="MS-DOS 7.10" /win95 After rebooting there will be a boot option Enter DOS7.10 That means entering DOS OK!!!
