My machine often hangs, and it's in DOS mode, and it's an old laptop. After turning off the power and starting it again, it still shows the screen from when it hung, and rebooting doesn't work. The only thing I can do is wait until the battery runs out before I can truly start it again. But I don't know which program I downloaded from your site and installed, after that, whenever it sits idle, the computer automatically powers off after 5 minutes. That makes it even worse for me. I have to wait for it to power off automatically and then keep turning the power back on, (have to do this ten or twenty times), just to make the battery run out sooner, and only then can I really restart it. It's really a headache! So I want to format drive C: and reinstall. Please give me some advice.
