Maybe an environment variable is set wrong.
Use the SET command and see whether the COMSPEC variable points to the path of command.com? |

It’s Master Rushi’s. After I exit from software or edit, there’s only the prompt area and the cursor flashing, and the F11/F12 defined on the keyboard don’t work either. The prompt symbol is gone too, hehe; how can I use set then? Only after typing c:\command.com does the prompt come back, and then everything is normal. Let me post the config:
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:OFF DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\VIDE-CDD.SYS /D:IDE-CD SHELL=COMMAND.COM /P/E:640 (put Master’s command under C) DOS=HIGH,UMB,AUTO NUMLOCK=OFF FILES=40 BREAK=ON BUFFERSHIGH=30,0 FCBSHIGH=4,0 LASTDRIVEHIGH=Z STACKS=9,256 SET TMP=G: MENUITEM=DOS71,MSDOS 7.10 MENUITEM=WIN98,Windows 98 |
