Hello. Every time I shut down from WINDOWS98 and enter MS-DOS, it shows a black screen {dark gray} and there is no response at all.
It's the same every time I enter, no response, just dark gray, no text. It might also be because I just formatted the hard drive. It was like this right after I finished installing 98. The other system has no problem, only DOS can't be entered. I don't know how to solve it, asking for help. Thanks. |

Entering DOS that way is not pure DOS, but the SHELL mode of an application. I suggest pressing the F8 key at boot to enter pure MS-DOS 7.10.
