Experts, please help. My computer is running Windows 2000, and my system got infected with the virus “worn.supnot.e.107008”. It can’t be cleaned completely under Windows. I don’t know how to enter DOS and remove the virus under DOS. Please help, I would be extremely grateful!!!!!!!!!!

I haven’t used 2000, so I’m not very clear about it.

Can you boot with a Win98 boot disk and enter DOS, then remove the virus??

Or shut down and choose to enter DOS, then use the emergency antivirus floppy made when installing the antivirus software to clean it, not sure whether that will work!!

Set it to boot from CD-ROM or floppy, then you can enter DOS to remove the virus. To solve it once and for all, it’s best to follow the moderator’s post and install DOS on the C drive so it coexists with 2000; there will always be times when you need it. Or more simply, download a DOS 7 boot disk and extract it onto a floppy, then it will come in handy at times like this.

For example, Kingsoft Antivirus teaches you how to make a DOS antivirus boot disk, give it a try

You can first try cleaning it in the DOS under Win; if that won’t do, switch to DOS; still not working? Boot from an antivirus disk; still not working? format; still not working? Hehe, Fdisk; still not working? Throw it away, hehe, just kidding, don’t be mad. Learning DOS is hard enough already, so have a little laugh in the middle of the hardship. :)

Many antivirus programs come with an antivirus floppy, so you can just boot from it and clean the virus directly. For example, Rising.
As for ones like Kingsoft Antivirus that don’t come with one, they also provide a function to make a DOS antivirus disk, and the antivirus disk it creates can boot directly into DOS to remove viruses.

Looks like there’s still one more step missing between fdisk and throwing it away: LOWFORMAT, hehe
