DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

I have installed Virtual Box and created a DOS virtual machine.
The default state is powered off. When clicking "Start", the following information is displayed:
FATAL: No bootable medium found!System halted.
I found help webpages online but didn't understand them.
All the data of my UCDOS is in D:\UCDOS and its subdirectories. Now how to copy it into the DOS virtual machine? Please give me advice!

You need to burn a disc, such as making an ISO out, or burning into a virtual floppy disk in FLP format. Then just install it like installing an operating system once and it's done.

1. Use tools like VMware or VitualPC to create a virtual machine.
2. Format the hard disk of the virtual machine to FAT16 or FAT32 format. The file system of the physical machine's hard disk, whether FAT32 or NTFS, will not affect the virtual machine.
Method 1: Use the virtual machine to load the CD - version or ISO - version of tools such as PQ, PM, etc. to perform partitioning and formatting.

3. Download the full - installation CD ISO version of MS - DOS7.10: http://www.cn-dos.net/newdos/doswarea.htm
4. Use the virtual machine to load the ISO image file and follow the prompts.
