DOS users can DIY memory quite conveniently, just like Linux experts can DIY the system kernel.
Windows doesn't give you that kind of freedom. Some people use Linux just to enjoy the fun of kernel-level DIY. As for my Windows, I only DIY the desktop appearance a bit. |

It can be used to repair a WINDOWS system, so you don't have to reinstall WIN every time a tiny problem shows up.

I work in data processing. A lot of data has to be split into batches and use the same program. In Windows it's a huge hassle to copy them one by one into folders, but with the simple command Path, it all gets taken care of!
