What else can it be used for? Of course for learning. Many software I learn need a DOS environment. Without DOS, I can't learn. Hearing you say that, it seems like learning DOS can do many bad things.

Heheh, if you don't make it clear, if you really do something bad and get caught and name me as the one who taught you, won't I get implicated? Just wanting a DOS environment to learn software, the simplest way is to use a virtual machine. It's suggested to use VPC, which is convenient, easy to use, almost the same as a physical PC, and easy to get started with.
