I want to play some old DOS games, so I want to change my system to a Windows and DOS dual boot setup, but I don't know how to do it. Please give me some advice!
Right now I'm using WinME, installed on drive C. I want to install DOS 7.1 on drive F, and make it so there's a menu at startup where I can choose between them. Does DOS have to use drive C as the boot drive? Won't it work if it's installed on F??? Also, my F drive is not active right now. A lot of places online talk about using patches to give WinME real-mode DOS, but when entering real mode that way, a lot of drivers are not loaded, so it's not very useful. I'd like to ask what I should do. Thanks! |

The DOS boot files usually have to be installed on drive C... but its external commands can be put on drive F.
