When loading items such as , an error is prompted. The device command is also not useful, and only 1M of memory can be used. How exactly should it be used? DOS is supposed to be open, why is this happening? Could it be that only external commands are open?

Can't be? DOS is definitely open, and the kernel of FreeDOS is also open-source.

The config.sys for FreeDOS beta8 is done. I can't access my D drive (FAT32) under MS-DOS, but I can under FREE-DOS, which is good.

The config.sys of FreeDOS beta8 is settled. I can't access my D drive (FAT32) under MS-DOS, but can under FREE-DOS, very good.


MS-DOS 7.10 and ROM-DOS 7.10 can also access the FAT32 D drive.

Yeah, I know. My D drive is accessible under Windows, and other FAT32 partitions are accessible under DOS, but MSDOS can't access the D drive. FREEDOS can access it. Maybe it's a hard drive issue. In MSDOS, I can go to D: to reach the D drive, but when using the DIR command, an error of stop, retry, ignore occurs.

Haven't tried it. The ROM-DOS 7.10 boot disk downloaded from this site has an issue where during the boot process, it prompts to press ESC to continue, then the PC speaker beeps, and a lot of garbled characters are printed and it keeps beeping.
