I'm making a tool disk, and I want to ask how exactly UMBPCI.SYS is supposed to be used. Is it enough to just put DEVICE=UMBPCI.SYS in CONFIG.SYS and then it can be used? Likewise, does DEVICE=XX mean that XX will automatically be loaded and used?
I've read the introduction to what PCCACHE.COM does. I want to know whether it helps software booted from a CD. DISKGEN can be used on my desktop (250G hard drive), but it starts very slowly. On the THINKPAD (160G) it won't start at all, and it also can't run on my friend's desktop (320G). As for CPU, my desktop < laptop < my friend's machine. I hope the experts can help me, waiting online |

This is so profound, I can't understand it at all. Looks like I still need to work harder!
