DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

Moderators:
The common programs under DOS are not very large
but if there are two or more programs
(larger than 500K) running at the same time
there will be
memory conflicts or something else
How can 256MB of memory
be fully utilized.?
Thanks

I have this confusion too.
Right now I understand it as DOS only being able to run one program at a time, so there wouldn't be a situation where they run simultaneously.
But what is the relationship between program size and the memory it needs?

DOS can support multithreading through some other programs... For memory issues, please look at my post in the beginners' section explaining the config file...
