I forgot to write the subject.
Let's do it again:I put the shutdown command into Autoexec, X:\shutdown -r and put it on the desktop. Why does it just flash once and disappear when I run it? What is the correct way to write it so it can log off and restart? |

You should edit the original post, this counts as a duplicate post!
What system are you using? What are you putting autoextc.bat on the desktop for? |

rundll.exe user.exe ,exitwindows-----------------------------------shut down
rundll.exe user.exe ,exitwindowsexec------------------------------restart Don't forget to enter the path,,,,,, also, 2000 and XP no longer support DOS, and when a batch file finishes running it will disappear automatically |

Oh, I just wanted to avoid having to type shutdown and the command in cmd under XP, it's too troublesome. Thank you.
