1) What's the difference between a Windows boot disk and pure DOS?
2) What basic files does the purest DOS need?
3) Why isn't the MS-DOS inside Windows pure DOS?

1 Pure DOS means being able to run most software under DOS and complete all tasks! Windows boot disk??? Is there such a thing?! It should count as an emergency boot disk!
2 It's not the same! 7.1 needs io.sys msdos.sys.command.com, 8.0 has io.sys and commmand.com! Other DOS versions are all different too!
3 That is a virtual DOS on the Windows interface, using Win98's API to control the hardware!

In a certain sense, a WIN boot disk still does exist. For example, the Mini-Windows 3.2 boot disk we made can be counted as a WIN boot disk. But in fact, it is also a DOS boot disk; it just directly runs WIN on the boot disk as a DOS GUI.
