I'm totally clueless about DOS. Today I suddenly got the idea to learn DOS.
I want to install a pure DOS system, then install a WIN system, separately on drive C and drive D.
Poor me, I've never used DOS before, so I don't know where to start.
I'd appreciate it if all you experts could point me in the right direction

First get familiar with the commands in the DOS window under WIN. You can also download and make a DOS boot disk, and use a floppy to boot DOS for practice.

Note that when installing DOS, you must make sure the hard disk partition format is FAT16.

Why??? Many of the partitions on my hard drive are FAT32, and all kinds of newer DOS versions like MS-DOS 7.10, ROM-DOS 7.10, and FreeDOS work just fine with them... Please don't mislead newbies~~

Hehe, if it's just a temporary whim, then don't install it. Use a virtual machine, or a floppy disk. If it's a WIN9X system, then using the window is also fine.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but after all the experts here said their piece, I really find it baffling and can't make heads or tails of it.
What I'm asking is how to install the system, and how the hardware gets drivers.
Please explain it a bit more clearly.
