CMD is an application under Windows. It indicates that the operation method is somewhat similar to that under DOS.

DOS is an independent operating system. CMD is a command-line interpreter, which is just an ordinary program. CMD.exe exists in OS/2, WinNT, and ReactOS.

I think CMD is like a DOS virtual machine under WINDOWS, except that this virtual machine's functions are very incomplete
