DOS is stronger than the Windows series in some respects, but in many respects it can't compare with the Windows series.

The original WINDOWS 1.0-3.X and WINDOWS95 were all based on DOS. The fact that Microsoft has been able to develop to where it is today owes a lot to DOS.
