Is there any way to make DOS work on an NTFS-formatted partition?
Also, my primary partition uses NTFS. If I install DOS in my extended partition, how can I make the system show a selection menu at startup so I can enter DOS? If so, is it done by modifying the boot.ini file?

DOS can use NTFS partitions in logical drives through tools like NTFSDOS, but if booting from the hard disk, DOS cannot be started when the primary partition is NTFS. In that case you can only boot with a floppy disk; if you use NTFSDOS you can see the contents of the NTFS-formatted primary partition. But you could try some multi-system boot software, maybe that will work.

What I have now is a problem I can't solve: my primary partition is in NTFS format, and I have already installed
NTFSDOS in my logical drive, but I don't know how to enter DOS when the system starts up.

If the primary partition is NTFS and you still want to boot from that hard disk, I'm afraid you can only use multi-system boot software.
