I think the best way to learn DOS is to communicate with everyone as much as possible... If you have questions, just ask.

Learning means learning and asking; learn, and ask often.

Install DOS first and play around with it. You have to use DOS often before you can really get familiar with it.

Only when the system crashes will you realize how useful DOS is!

Exactly. Back in '96, when I had just bought my computer, I didn't know how to use it. When I tried to ask, all I got were cold looks from other people!!! So I made up my mind and started learning from DOS,

The fastest way to learn DOS is not to install a hard drive!

Indeed, indeed, I really feel the same way. I grew up in a WINDOWS environment and used WINDOWS all the time, but when the system runs into trouble, then you really feel that DOS is extremely useful. I think learning to use DOS should start from learning how to use DOS to install a system and repair a system. That seems to have a lot more practical value. The above is only my own personal opinion. I am still only a beginner newbie myself, and I am extremely interested in DOS. Please forgive me if there is anything inadequate in my wording.
