China DOS Union

I downloaded a set of DOS 6.22 installation disks.
The file format is IMG, there are three of them. How do I use them and install it?

IMG format is a floppy disk image file. Originally, you can use HD-COPY to write it back to a floppy disk, but there are also many programs that can extract the files directly without needing a floppy disk, such as undisk/undiskp, ti, simg, img, etc. You can go look for these programs in the (download section) or on the DOS Union website.

Method for installing DOS 6.22 to a real machine hard disk:
1. Copy all IMG files and UNDISKP to drive D;
2. Use undiskp to extract the IMA files, command format:
UNDISKP 【IMG filename】
3. Delete DISKVOL.TXT from the generated folders 1, 2, and 3;
4. Create a DOS folder in the root directory of drive D, and copy all files from folders 1, 2, and 3 into the newly created DOS folder;
5. Format drive C as FAT16;
6. Boot from a floppy disk or CD, enter the D：\DOS folder, and run the Setup /g command to start installation;
7. Follow the prompts to complete the installation, and that's it.
