XP can be upgraded directly from win9x, or you can format drive C: first and then reinstall it.

Boot DOS with a WIN98 boot disk, then FORMAT, provided your C: drive isn't using NTFS.

You can also copy xp to the hard disk and then install it under DOS, but it can't be NTFS

If it's NTFS format... use spfdisk or diskgen...

It seems only pm8.0 supports ntfs-5, right!?
