DATE is a DOS command for the date! If you enter it like this: DATE 01-01-2003 the date becomes 2003-01-01 But to change it back you have to enter DATE 06-13-2003 Can I first pass today's date into a variable, and then call that variable when I want to change it back???

Sure. . . for example, programs like STRINGS can do it.

I don't know what environment you want to make the change in. In a programming environment you can record it in a variable, but under DOS～～I don't know what you want to change it for.
