Every time you click a link in the web page, a page pops up, whether it is refreshing the current page or not. For example, when replying to a post in this forum or posting a new thread, IE always pops up a page. Oh, master, help me~~~~~~
I scanned with Kingsoft Antivirus and found no virus, and scanning for trojans also showed no abnormalities.

Take a look at the option of "Browsing Folders" in "Folder Options"~

You have to judge for yourself...

Is it infected with a virus? Try using several antivirus software to check. It's up to them to say whether it's infected or not.

Could it be the aftereffect caused by browsing pages that keep popping up new pages?

In short, with just the few lines you mentioned above, I can't find the answer.

It is estimated that it's because IE is set to open new windows when clicking links, not a virus. Everyone help him find where to set it. I've used MYIE for too long, and basically don't need to set IE.

It's not that kind of phenomenon of continuously popping up new pages. It's that clicking any link is like this........

No, that's not the case. I use a dual - system. It works normally under XP but not under 98! Resetting the default IE options under WIN98 still doesn't work!

Try reinstalling IE?

Reinstall IE? No idea. It seems you can't install it with a separate installation disk because the installed IE can't be uninstalled.
Downloading is also unrealistic because I'm on dial-up internet~~~~~~~~~~

Then reinstall the system?
But remember to back up the things you need.

What things need to be backed up when reinstalling the system? My data is not under the C drive. Do you mean the content of the favorites in IE? Then how to back it up?
Really very naive~~~~~~~~~

When did you start? Try restoring the registry to a previous state. Also, what page do you get popped up?

You can try this way: Open the General in Folder Options, find Browse folders, and select "Open each folder in the same window". See if it works.

Is this a porn website! When it closes, it will pop up a window! Or open one after another! Has your homepage been changed?
